Expectation Setting Deep Dive
Welcome to The Kitchen Table Parenting Collection - our new collection of parenting courses that focus on embracing the imperfect, messy moments as we grow and nurture wholehearted families. The Kitchen Table Parenting Collection begins on January 9th with The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting, a four-lesson course that is the foundation for the entire collection. Once you complete our foundational course, you can take any of the single lesson “Deep Dive” courses on specific topics.
In this single lesson deep dive we explore the important topic of Expectation Setting. We define expectations and how they differ from goals. Only when we uncover stealth expectations and help our children reality-check their goals, are we then able to help them understand what it may take to achieve their goals. During this course we will explore the relationship between expectations and goals and practice actionable strategies for managing them within a wholehearted family culture.
The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting: A Wholehearted Revolution is the required prerequisite course.
There are no required readings for the class, but Brené's The Gifts of Imperfection is great foundational reading.
Save $20 when you purchase The Kitchen Table Parenting Collection Introductory Bundle. This includes the foundational course plus two different one-lesson, on-demand deep dive courses that focus on Expectation Setting and Boundary Setting.
