Rising Strong

If we are brave enough often enough, we will fall; this is the physics of vulnerability. Regardless of the magnitude or circumstance of a fall, the Rising Strong process is the same:

We RECKON with our emotions and get curious about what we're feeling.

We RUMBLE with our stories until we get to a place of truth.

We live this process every day until it becomes a practice and creates nothing short of a REVOLUTION in our lives.

Join Brené in this six-lesson, self-paced course and explore what it means to rumble with the challenges that come with living a daring life.

Your Rising Strong course includes:

  • More than 31 teaching videos from Brené.
  • Online exercises to help you embed the learning for each lesson.
  • Course workbook for you to complete online or print.
  • Lesson discussion boards to share questions and connect with fellow students.
  • Art journaling prompts for each lesson designed to help move the learnings from your head to your heart.
  • Course gallery to share your creative exercises with fellow students.
  • A self-assessment tool to chart your progress as you integrate the learnings and make this work a practice in your life.

What You'll Learn

  • Understand the critical role emotion plays in behavioral change and the connections between emotion, thought, and behavior.
  • Apply actionable strategies for reality-checking our stories and getting back up after a fall or setback so that we can lead with greater courage.
  • Identify the most common emotional offloading strategies and how defaulting to these moves us away from our values and our integrity.
  • Learn how and why we make up stories when we’re in the midst of failure, disappointment, and struggle and how understanding these false narratives helps us build engagement, trust, and collaboration.

Course Schedule

All lessons will be available when the course opens and may be completed at your own pace.

What people are saying about Rising Strong

"The one word I would use to describe Brené's eCourse is transformational. The class shook me out of 'automatic pilot' and helped me see that my choices control my direction."

Scott Lundh

"Participating in Brené's ecourse changed my life. Through sharing her own story of struggle Brené helped me see what had been holding me back, keeping me stuck and ultimately prevented me from living a purposeful life.  I now have more tools to practice the courage to do what I want without caring what the critics think."

Chancy Lyford

"This valuable and important course opened my eyes to the possibilities of new ways of seeing old behaviors and patterns within myself.  The best habit I have learned is to 'dare greatly' by 'choosing discomfort over resentment'. This has helped me to have more respect for myself - which in turn means that I have more conviction when I deal with others, something that would more likely read as confidence, rather than the opposite. "
